I go to great clips every month for a trim and I have followed hair stylist Lindsey from each location aiken to north Augusta. She does an awesome job every time I see her. She is very sociable and professional. I even bring my little sister to see her because she loves lindsey so much and is always pleased with her new style. She is an eccentric young girl who loves trying new styles and lengths and lindsey is just the girl we like to see! All the people in great clips are happy and welcoming when we come to sign in there is hardly ever a wait!

If I could give negative stars I would. This was by far the WORST hair cut of my life! No joke. I've had some pretty bad hair cuts in the past, including a Brittany Spears moment. But this one takes the cake. There are two reasons why I would give a review. One, if I was blown away in an awesome way. Two, if what I got was way beyond, below sub-par. I'm a big fan of great-clips. The prices are awesome and the stylists generally are pretty awesome people. Customer service is generally pretty good too. That being said, that was not the case at this establishment. My "stylist" Lindsey not only screwed my hair up but humiliated me in the process. When I visited the salon my hair was already screwed up from a previous salon. My hair was uneven and from one angle it looked like I had stairs instead of layers. Also I had some really bad split ends because of the water where I live, which has been bleaching my hair naturally and making it frizz like crazy. I told Lindsey all of this and asked her one: blend my hair to make it look even. Two: clean up the dead ends as much as possible. And three: keep the length of my hair long enough so I can put it in a pony tail. Simple. Straight forward. Or so I thought. She said she couldn't blend my hair to make it look like I didn't have stairs. Said my hair needed to grow out more. But, while saying that she cut my hair. Made the stairs look worse on the one side and to even out the look, gave me the same stairs on the other side of my hair. I'm blind as a bat, even with glasses and trusted her to do her job. When all was said and done she never showed me what the back of my hair looked like. Nooooo. I had to find out that little part when I got home. The woman put holes in my hair! She put two lengths in my hair. Short and long. And you can tell the difference. I have a wedding next week to go to and was going to put my hair up in a pony tail. Because of Lindsey and her royal screw up I can't. When it's up you can clearly see a rail tail and a short bob all combined into one horrible mess. Forget leaving my hair down though, that's worse. I've got holes in the back of my hair. But of course this is all my fault. According to her, I should let it grow out and just deal with it. Problem is, that's what I had done when she destroyed my hair. I left feeling utterly humiliated by someone who was supposed to be a professional. If she had said she couldn't fix my hair from the get go I would have left. No harm no foul. If she would have just been honest and said she couldn't do my hair then there would be no need for this review. Instead, she took my money and butchered my hair where it will cost me more now thanks to her to fix. Now, I'm not saying all the stylists at this establishment are bad like Lindsey. Maybe the others are better. I don't know. But I do know if you do decide to get your hair cut here, whether you are male or female, please for the love of your hair and dignity do not, I repeat do NOT let Lindsey cut your hair!

Never get the stylist Lindsey if you go here. She is the worst hair stylist I have seen in years. She did not have her certification visible at her work station. That would not have been an issue if not for how bad the hair cut was. Which makes me wonder if she is even qualified. When I sat in the chair I told her my side burns were already at the right length, to square the back of my neck, don't take any off the top but trim up the sides with a one and two guard, and blend it where there is not a hard line. Simple, direct, and not too much work or so I thought. She had me take my glasses off for her to cut my hair. Because of that i could not see what she was doing to my hair while in the chair. She did not do what I asked but quite the opposite. She rounded the back of my neck, shaved all of my side burns off up to the top of my ear, did not fade the sides but took the one guard all the way up. She also told me she has to take some off the top and before i could even tell her no she was already carving my hair up like an October pumpkin. Lindsey also did not ask if i wanted a shampoo or anything to get the hair off the back of my neck. She also did not ask if I needed any product for my hair. It was a terrible experience!!!! My job has hair length and style regulations that this butchery has now interfered with. Now, that being said I have gotten a good hair cut from a decent stylist there. I believe her name was April or something with an A. She took her time did what i asked. I don't how good the other stylists are, but again, save your dignity and don't get Lindsey unless you want to look like a mangy baboon. Good Luck!
