The store is great, the grooming.... I called before I went to make sure they could do my dog's toenails. Said sure come by any time, you don't need an appointment. So I did. Drove 40 minutes to get there only to be told that even though my dog has a rabies tag I needed her records before they could do her toenails. They said people take tags off other dogs to get around the rule. 40 minute drive. Called the Augusta location who told me over the phone the rule, which is fine, at least tell people. Very disappointed in the unprofessional management.
I have been a number of times to this location and everyone is super nice. I worked with the store manager, Allen on ordering a kennel. He was super helpful and went out of his way to help me. He even tried calling other stores to see if they had it first.
I had an amazing experience here! everything was clean and well organized, all the animals were very well taken care of and loved, and the staff (a lady with purple tips in her hair especially) went above and beyond to give me the information i needed. I will definitely be returning!
Although the staff may be friendly(enough), most aren't very knowledgeable when it comes to helping you decide which product is best for your pets' certain needs, excluding Ashton and one other. I knew nothing about cats except that I hated them before I found myself having to bottle feed and raise 5 kittens from birth. Luckily I have half a brain and figured everything out on my own... and I was 100% successful. The place seems over staffed, especially for the many times I've stood at the register waiting to be noticed. Pet store seems like a more reasonable name.
Everyone is always so helpful and Katelyn in the grooming department was amazing! I had a bad experience with the evans petsmart earlier today, but when i called the grooming department she was so sweet and helpful even though it was close to closing time she bathed and trimmed my Yorkie with a smile on her face the entire time. I loved how she loved and treated my dog and he loved her! I highly recommend Katelyn if you need your dog groomed, she's amazing! Thanks again Katelyn!
